WELCOME TO LOOMIS BASIN CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
We see our children as a vital and integral part of our community and as gifted and growing spirits. We endeavor to teach them the values of our life together. They live important Bible stories, explore rituals that comfort them and offer them structure and meaning, get a feel for the rhythms of worship, sing, and learn what it means to be a part of the Beloved Community.
LOOMIS UCC KIDS!
At Loomis UCC, we offer Children’s Sunday school programming throughout the year through our Children’s Ministry.

Sunday school is provided for toddlers through sixth grade. Children may be dropped off in the CE Building beginning at 9:30a.m Sunday mornings.

Each child will be taught by members of our team who are comprised of staff and volunteers who are background checked. Each leader will have extra training, including first-aid and CPR.

During this hour, the children will spend time in our Godly Play classroom. Godly Play uses a storytelling approach to scripture in an environment that “respects the innate spirituality of children and encourages curiosity and imagination in experiencing the mystery and joy of God.” Based on Montessori principles, the Godly Play approach helps children to explore their faith through story, gain religious language, and to enhance their
spiritual experience through wonder and play.

We will be both indoors and outdoors depending on weather.

Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, and every volunteer is pre-screened with an extensive background check.
FUN!
Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and live acting.
RELATIONSHIPS
We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group.
